Chris McGee joined the organization in 2021. He serves in the role of Team Director and is responsible for orchestrating all things GBX. Chris has managed professional and amateur cycling teams for decades, including national and regional squads for Thomson and Jamba Juice.
Chris has been involved in the cycling industry for nearly 30 years. He started with Klein Bicycles in the 80s, launched Thomson Bicycle Components with Ronnie Thomson, served as Executive Director of the Bicycle Racing Association of Colorado, and has helped with the Bailey HUNDO, the Back 2
Basics Cyclocross Series, the Cherry Creek Time Trial Series and the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure.
Chris has been a cyclist since 1985 and has ridden and raced in more than thirty states. He has raced at the semi pro level in both mountain and road, and has spent the last decade working on his remount for cyclocross. Chris has lived in Golden for twenty years and is the father and step-father of four active children.
