Directeur Sportif

Meet Russ Folger. Taking over as Directeur Sportif in 2021, he began as a coach in 2016. Russ manages the coaching staff, GBX Plus, and GBX Racing Development, all while assembling teams for riders where they will excel and benefit from riding with each other.  His purview also includes providing GBX with access to the various mountain bike venues around Golden and the Foothills.

Russ has been mountain bike racing since 1990. His palmarès includes Iditabike, RAAM, Haute Route Alpes, and wins at the Firecracker 50 and Dirty Kanza 200.  From the Kokopelli Trail to Tuscany, Russ has been working with amateur and professional cyclists alike since 2007.  These days he’s most likely to be found shredding at the Golden bike park with GBX!
